I wrote an email 2 minutes ago.

It looked like this:

Before today, I would have never thought I might be emailing Mike Posner the subject line: On the Nature of Life.

But now, as I curl up into my wicker chair and stretch my fingers against the keys, Posner9’s “Good Night Playlist” on Spotify–consisting only of Antonin Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95, B. 178 ‘From the New World’: II. Large”–swims around me.

I’ve been reading his blog, his quotes, his message . . . about stillness, about nothing and how profound the nothing could be.

Mike Posner might be the deepest person I have ever listened to.

It began with a casual flick to the Podcast app, fingers hunting for a morning-commute listen. Tom Bilyeu’s Impact Theory Podcast came up with a new episode, and I absentmindedly selected “download”.

#57 Mike Posner on Why Success Isn’t the Answer did something to me.

His gentle, wavy voice, the physicality hidden behind the meaning of the phrases . . . it did something to me.

On the way home I downloaded What Does This All Mean? What I Learned Spending 7 Days in Isolation“, and, as stated in the email, openly sobbed.

I’ve never emailed someone famous before.

Peace and Blessings,
